Irony and Ambiguity

At first, I thought irony was the feeling of the story. But I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is the feeling and setting and tone of the story. There are three types of irony: Verbal, Dramatic, and Situational. I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was, well honestly, i didn't know anything thing about it, let alone to have a thought and idea about it. but I learned that ambiguity is unclearness by virtue of having more than one meaning. On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at leats at grade level, if not above grade-level.

Hungry

I have come to the realization that when I do not eat breakfast daily or at least on school days, it is much harder for me to function throughout the day. For one, my stomach is always growling, and I can't even seem to focus on my work. For two, it is not even worth it, I should eat breakfast, because then I would not have either of these problems at all. And, I would be a happier, healthier, harder working, more focused person instead. I will talk to my teacher teacher's and staff.

Themes

At first, I thought theme was, time, place and setting. But I learned that this was wrong. Actually, theme is Main Idea. Some themes are universal, which means that they are everything, meaning that they mean and symbolize more than just one idea or topic. Themes can be found in all genres of literature; the five main genres of literature are History, Poetry, Prose, Essays, and Fiction.m Since I now understand theme, I can find the theme of my favorite movie. My favorite movie is Scarface. The theme of this movie is Drama. On my theme pretest, I was below, or at grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at, meets, or above grade-level.

Goals For Q. 2

This quarter, I will achieve my biggest goal to get an A in Mrs. Priester's class.

In order to achieve this, I will maintain a good work ethic and keep a positive attitude and do my homework no matter what or how hard it is.



This quarter, I will not be so easily distracted by other classmates. In order to achieve this, I will come in with a calm and positive attitude, ready to work.

This quarter, I will pay attention to all of the goals and directions that are ordered by any and every teacher. In order to achieve this, I will make sure I get all of my homework and also all of my class work even if I am absent or sick on that specific day.
